From the 5th until the 6th of November the Annual Meeting of the GAMM Activity Group ‘Computational Biomechanics’ was held at the University of Stuttgart. The aim of this consortium is to bring together researchers in the field, to share ideas, join forces, and advance international visibility and recognition.

During the meeting, the participants shared their current research activities. It was a great platform to discuss challenges and perspectives associated with the computational modeling of biomechanical systems and to work out future directions and activities.

We are organizing a minisymposium on “COMPUTATIONAL MODELING OF ACTIVE BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS” at the 14th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM XIV) and the 8th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Science and Engineering (ECCOMAS 2020), July 19–24, 2020, Paris, France

The next Annual Meeting of the GAMM Activity Group ‘Computational Biomechanics’ will be held September 21-22, 2020, in Erlangen. If you are interested, please register any time via email to silvia.budday@fau.de. We look forward to welcoming you in Erlangen!
