On November 23, 2023, Tomeu Amorós (C02) and Sebastián Sepúlveda (A05) hosted the (post) doctoral researchers seminar at the Institute of Animal Physiology. The seminar was opened with a presentation on the C02 research project, in which Tomeu provided an introduction to neural plasticity and discussed their associated research. A lively discussion on the utilization of hydrogels in this project and the variations in stiffness during structural changes in the neuronal matrix was followed by and also carried on during the coffee break. Sebastián continued the seminar with a presentation on axonal growth in the embryonic brains of Xenopus, exploring the insights gained from this research. Following the presentations, (post-)doctoral researchers were invited to participate in a tour of the animal physiology labs.
