From July 31 to August 5, 2022, the 15th World Congress on Computational Mechanics & 8th Asian Pacific Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM-APCOM) originally planned to take place in Yokohama, Japan, was held virtually. We organized two minisymposia on “0414 Exploring brain mechanics”, jointly with Kristian Franze, Jochen Guck, and Paul Steinmann in the context of our EBM Initiative, and “0422 Computational Continuum Biomechanics”, jointly with Tim Ricken and Oliver Röhrle in the context of the GAMM Activity Group Computational Biomechanics and the DFG-SPP 2311. We had great contributions from all over the world, including the talk by BRAINIACS PhD student Alexander Greiner.
