From September 21-22, 2020, we organized the annual meeting of the GAMM (Gesellschaft für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik) expert committee “Computational Biomechanics”, which was held as a hybrid workshop via Zoom and in presence. The meeting took place at Kloster Banz in the beautiful landscape of Franconian Switzerland. In this inspriring environment with great mountain views, we had exciting discussions about current challenges and perspectives of computational modeling in Biomechanics. We would like to thank all participants for their excellent contributions!

It was great to meet in person after such a long time of virtual meetings only. The expert committee “Computational Biomechanics” provides a valuable platform for exchange between researchers working in the field of Biomechanics and we would like to encourage anyone interested to join and become a member. Please don’t hesitate to contact us (Tim Ricken, Silvia Budday, or Oliver Röhrle).
