From September 21-25 2019 the 10th IBRO World Congress of Neuroscience was held in Daegu, South Korea, where we participated in the symposium on “Mechanical factors in brain development” organized by Prof. Yoichi Kosodo (Korea Brain Research Institute (KBRI), Republic of Korea) with Prof. Mineko Kengaku (Kyoto University, Japan) and Prof. Kristian Franze (University of Cambridge, UK) as further speakers. It was exciting to learn from the experts in the field on mechanotransduction and the role of mechanical stimuli in brain development. The meeting was a great inspiration for the refinement of our models and highlighted exciting new applications.

A great thanks to Yoichi for organizing this great symposium and taking perfect care of us during our stay. Thank you for great conversations during the speaker lunch and dinner. It was great to have the opportunity to take part in this.
