Beginning of June, the 5th Soft Tissue Modelling Workshop was held online by the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, focusing on state-of-the-art developments and challenges in the field of soft tissue modeling. BRAINIACS Master student Alex presented our recent work on “Poro-viscoelastic effects during biomechanical testing of human brain tissue”, which is an exciting collaboration with Paul Steinmann at FAU, Gerhard Holzapfel at TU Graz and Ester Comellas at UPC, funded through the D-A-CH Programme by the DFG. Huge congratulations to Alex for winning the 2nd Prize for the best PhD oral presentation! It’s great to have you in the team!
